An Easy 5 Minute Meditation to Get You into Spiritual Alignment

Meditation is the perfect tool to help you get back into spiritual alignment fast.

Meditation prepares you to reconnect with who you really are. A daily practice in it will allow emotions love and peace to overcome emotions of lack and negativity.

Returning you to a space of inspiration and joy, even if you have not felt these emotions in a long, long time.

What is Spiritual Alignment, and What Does Spiritual Alignment Feel Like?

You might be thinking, “What is spiritual alignment? And… “How do I know what it feels like to be in spiritual alignment?”

Great questions.

Feeling ‘stuck’ or feeling ‘lost’ is one of the most frequent reasons people seek healing and/or transformation. They may be dealing with a wide range of feelings, emotions and experiences. These include old wounds and traumas, physical illness and depression.

For me, I found my self describing my life as a constant storm, where everything felt negative, off balance, and out of control.

Like a series of unfortunate events would continue to unfold one after another without the grace of mercy.

Even if you are not experiencing those extremes, you may sense that, no matter what you do and how hard you try, things are not working in your life as you would like them to or as you think they should.

Perhaps the expectations alone are responsible for keeping you stuck and out of alignment.

Defining Spiritual Alignment

Spiritual alignment is when you uncover the essence of who you authentically are, and what you believe in- at your core.

Allowing yourself to seek internal fulfillment and peace above external satisfaction and acceptance. It is the pursuit of becoming coherent with your truest desires, and your purpose for this life. So that your gifts may resonate and inspire those around you to lift themselves up to a higher state of being.

Feeling Out of Spiritual Alignment

Know that… spiritual alignment is not represented by feelings of stress, or anxiety. When you are ill, overwhelmed, or dealing with emotions of resentment and judgement you most certainly are not in a state of alignment either .

In fact the emotions of lack, trauma or crisis are there to signal that you may have energetic blocks. These blocks keep you separate from the feelings of happiness, joy, creativity, and abundance.

I can tell when I’m out of alignment because I become distracted by outside circumstances as opposed to the internal goals that really matter most to me.

When I’m out of alignment I struggle with fatigue, concern for what others think, irritability and lack of inspiration and motivation.

As a control freak I have spent decades trying to control every aspect of my life. I have tried to create opportunities, force inspiration, and manipulate outcomes. But, control is the very thing that keeps me out of alignment, and cuts off the flow of divine inspiration.

Instead of allowing guidance to show me my path, I try to force a path that is not even there. This has lead to burn out, fear, and resentment. Only perpetuating a low vibration state.

Feeling "IN" Spiritual Alignment

In contrast, when I’m in alignment I feel happy, energetic, and grateful regardless of what my circumstances may be. I am hopeful and positive even when I face challenges.

I don’t feel overwhelmed or focus on what’s not going well. Instead, I focus on the good and a sense that all is as it should be.

Inspiration and creativity seem to just naturally flow to me, and through me.

I feel connected to my purpose, and know that the answers will appear at the right moment to guide me in the direction that I belong.

Alignment is a Choice

Desire is the key to getting back into alignment. There are times when we do need to embrace those low vibration feelings in order to take away the important message or lesson that they are trying to provide.

Once we have embraced their purpose, you can choose to surrender to lack or to seek alignment. Your state of being is a choice. Letting go of your story so that you can begin to write a new one is a decision that only you can make.

Release your desire to remain wounded, and to wear those wounds as a metal of honor to outwardly display your strength.

Everything you seek is within you. When we say, “I don’t want to feel this way anymore. I’m ready to feel good,” we’re sending a strong energetic message to the Universe.

Your desire to change your state of being, to feel good, is all you need to pivot toward alignment.

The practice the meditation can help you to get back into alignment fast. The one below is one of my favorites.

Using Meditation for Alignment

pulse meditation

Moving into alignment does not have to be complicated. In fact the beauty of this meditation is in its simplicity.

We’re pulled out of alignment often. So with this meditation you can quickly move back into alignment anywhere, anytime.

Pulse Mantra meditation

This is a meditation that I have adopted from Gabbie Bernstein.

As an advanced Ho’oponopono practitioner I enjoy mixing modalities. So for this meditation I do not use a traditional mantra.

Instead I borrow the mantra I use from Ho’oponopono. I say “I love you” throughout the meditation. However, you can use any mantra that you feel resonates with you.

This is considered a beginner’s meditation, and is very accessible if you’re new to these types of practices. Gabbie calls this meditation “Peace Is in Your Pulse!” I find this meditation to be very soothing and powerful.

Here’s what you do:

  1. Gently rest 4 fingers of one hand on the inside of one of your wrists.
  2. Move your fingers slightly as you feel for your pulse. Be patient if it takes you a few moments to find it.
  3. Close your eyes and take a deep breathe.
  4. With each beat of your pulse, silently repeat the mantra: I…love…you… Repeat it at the speed of your own heartbeat.

Allow yourself to relax in to this meditation. Don’t worry about your about whether you are doing it write or wrong. All you need is to feel your pulse, repeat the mantra, and breathe. That’s it!

If your mind starts to wander, feel gratitude for those thoughts seeking your attention, and then gently return to the mantra and the beat of your pulse.

Continue this practice for as long as it feels good to you. With meditation we are seeking to feel good from the result, not the practice itself. So there is no need to worry about how long you are meditating for.

When you’re finished, take a deep breath, gently wiggle your fingers and toes. When you’re ready open your eyes.

Now that you have this practice, I hope you will continue to use it to move into alignment.

Using this meditation on a regular basis can improve your well-being over time. Enter into these meditations with an open heart and expect miracles.
